We're proud to share our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) 2025–2027, an important step in TBB Planning's reconciliation journey.
This RAP reflects our commitment to building meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, deepening our understanding of Country, and embedding reconciliation more intentionally into the way we plan, design and engage.
As planners and designers, every project is an opportunity to listen, learn and connect. To consider how the stories, knowledge and values of Traditional Custodians can guide better outcomes for communities today and into the future.
Innovate RAP
We have chosen to begin our formal reconciliation journey at the Innovate level, recognising the foundation we have already built through many years of collaboration, engagement and learning across the communities and lands where we work.
Reconciliation has been part of our practice for some time, through long-standing relationships, cultural learning, truth-telling, and working alongside Aboriginal communities on projects across Western Australia. This Innovate RAP strengthens that foundation, giving structure, accountability and momentum to the work we are already committed to.
It marks a shift from good intent to clear action, embedding reconciliation more deliberately in our everyday practice, our workplace culture and our influence within the planning and design industry.
What our RAP stands for
Our Innovate RAP is guided by principles that connect directly to our work and how we show up every day. It keeps us accountable to our people, our clients and the communities we serve.
Through this RAP, we commit to:
-
ensuring reconciliation meaningfully shapes the planning and design projects we deliver
-
connecting reconciliation to our day-to-day business decisions and culture
-
strengthening understanding, respect and shared learning across our team
-
using our role in the industry to positively influence clients, collaborators and government.
A shared journey
This RAP is not a static document. It is a living commitment that will continue to evolve through action, reflection and learning.
We know reconciliation takes time, care and humility. This Innovate RAP is one step, but it's a step we are proud to take together.
We welcome conversations with clients, collaborators and community about how we can continue to advance reconciliation in planning and design.
Reconciliation is a journey we walk with heart, connecting people, place and opportunity with respect and purpose.
