Our Role
TBB partnered with the Town of Claremont to shape a long-term planning framework grounded in local values and real opportunity. We led the process from early strategic review through to adoption, combining place-based planning expertise with meaningful engagement to guide decisions for the evolving town centre.
Our approach prioritised listening first—using community surveys, visioning workshops and targeted discussions with landowners to understand priorities and concerns. This insight was tested through scenario development, strategic analysis and close collaboration with State Government agencies to manage growth pressures in an established inner-metropolitan environment
The Outcome
The Local Planning Strategy, adopted in June 2024, and the Precinct Structure Plan, endorsed in September 2024, now provide a clear and coordinated roadmap for Claremont’s future. Together, they guide how growth, redevelopment and infrastructure investment will occur over the next 10–15 years.
The framework gives confidence to Council, the community and investors by setting clear expectations around land use, built form, movement and public spaces. It supports quality development while safeguarding the character and qualities valued by the community.
The result is a practical, community-informed strategy that helps Claremont grow thoughtfully, sustainably and on its own terms.
