The Goal

GreenView at Karlkurla set out to create a high-quality residential neighbourhood that could grow with Kalgoorlie over time. The focus was on delivering housing choice, strong connections to open space and services, and a clear design direction that supports liveable streets and a consistent sense of place as the community expands.

Our Role

TBB Planning worked with DevelopmentWA to shape the long-term vision for GreenView at Karlkurla and guide how the neighbourhood would evolve. Our role focused on setting a clear design and planning framework that supports staged delivery while maintaining consistent quality across the estate.

We helped prepare and refine Structure Plans, Design Guidelines and Local Development Plans, supported subdivision approvals and worked through access, servicing and bushfire considerations. This ensured the project could respond to market demand while continuing to deliver safe, well-designed neighbourhoods over many years.

The Outcome

GreenView at Karlkurla continues to deliver housing and community infrastructure that responds to the needs of a growing regional city. The planning and design framework has supported multiple stages of subdivision, enabling a reliable supply of residential lots and a diverse range of housing options.

By setting clear design expectations early, the project has maintained a consistent neighbourhood character while remaining flexible enough to adapt over time. For the Kalgoorlie–Boulder community, GreenView has contributed to housing availability, investment and employment. For DevelopmentWA, it provides confidence that the estate can continue to grow in a considered, coordinated way.
