Redcliffe Station Precinct

The Goal

The project goal is to create a coordinated, place-led framework to guide long-term redevelopment around Redcliffe Train Station. The precinct vision focused on leveraging major public transport investment to support higher-density housing, mixed-use development and improved public spaces, while carefully managing interfaces with surrounding neighbourhoods and the airport environment.

Our Role

TBB has supported the transformation of the Redcliffe Station Precinct for more than a decade, working across multiple planning phases as the project evolved. We partnered with the City of Belmont and State Government agencies to establish a clear vision and planning framework for one of Perth’s first METRONET precincts.

Our involvement began with the DA6 Vision Plan and Implementation Strategy and continued through the Precinct Structure Plan and infrastructure planning. Most recently, we prepared the Draft Redcliffe Station Precinct Improvement Scheme, bringing together land use, infrastructure, staging and place outcomes into a single statutory framework.

The Outcome

Redcliffe Station Precinct has transitioned from a long-term vision to a coordinated planning framework that supports delivery. The adopted Vision Plan laid the foundation for future redevelopment, while subsequent structure planning and infrastructure strategies clarified how growth could occur around the station.

With the State Government’s initiation of an Improvement Scheme, the precinct is now moving into its next phase. The Draft Improvement Scheme provides a clear pathway for development, aligning land use, infrastructure investment and place outcomes across agencies and landowners.
