Our Role

Working alongside renewable energy developers, landowners, consultants and decision-makers, TBB Planning supported a range of solar farm proposals through the development approval process. Our role focused on providing clear planning advice and helping projects progress efficiently within varied regional planning frameworks.

This included coordinating technical inputs, supporting early engagement with local governments and agencies, and responding to site-specific challenges such as land use compatibility, visual impact and environmental considerations. A collaborative approach helped build confidence in each proposal and supported timely, well-informed decision-making.

The Outcome

TBB Planning has supported development approvals for multiple utility-scale solar farms across Western Australia and the Northern Territory, contributing to increased renewable energy capacity and regional economic activity. Approved projects include solar farms in Northam, Collie and Gingin, collectively delivering clean energy to thousands of households and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

These approvals have provided certainty for investors and proponents while ensuring projects respond appropriately to their local context. For regional communities, the projects support employment, infrastructure investment and long-term energy resilience.
