The Goal
To build a shared vision for the Wyndham Historical Port Precinct and create a strong, locally supported foundation for revitalisation and future public and private investment.
Listening closely to shape a future the community believes in.
Our Role
TBB designed and delivered an end-to-end engagement program tailored to a small, remote regional community. We prepared the Engagement Strategy, undertook detailed stakeholder analysis and led in-region workshops, meetings and targeted discussions with community members, Traditional Owners, government and industry.
We recognised early that consultation fatigue, complex heritage considerations and diverse expectations required a respectful, culturally responsive approach. Our team focused on meaningful conversations—translating local knowledge, aspirations and concerns into clear, evidence-based inputs to guide the precinct plan, servicing options and revitalisation strategy.
The Outcome
The project delivered strong local participation and renewed confidence in the planning process. Community priorities, opportunities and constraints were clearly articulated, creating a credible evidence base for precinct planning and investment decisions.
Wyndham now has a community-endorsed pathway for revitalising its historic port—positioning the precinct for renewed activation, funding readiness and long-term economic and cultural benefit.
