Ben is a Director at TBB Planning who thrives at the intersection of creative thinking and practical delivery. With 25+ years in urban design and planning, he leads our design team and helps clients unlock potential and create places with a lasting positive impact — from city-centre transformation and new residential communities to complex transit and innovation precincts. His process begins with deep understanding: the land, the context, and the stories that matter. From there, he guides people and projects through collaborative visioning, scenario testing and visual communication that makes complexity feel clear.

Ben is known for bringing calm confidence to high-stakes conversations, and for leaving groups feeling inspired, energised and confident about what’s possible. He approaches design as made by hand, infused with humanity, fortified with imagination and collaboration, and honed by technology. Ben brings creativity, strategy and a solutions-rich mindset to projects across Western Australia — including Perth City Link, Ocean Reef Marina and The Village at Wellard — reflecting his belief that great design connects people and place in meaningful ways.

Raised in Broome with Wheatbelt roots, he carries deep respect for Western Australia’s landscapes, stories and diversity, which continues to inspire his work and fuel his passion for designing places people love.
