MICHAEL WILLCOCK
21 February 2025
Michael is a calm, steady presence on complex projects. With more than twenty years of experience in urban and regional planning, he enjoys helping clients make sense of the planning system and to find clear, workable pathways forward.
He has been part of TBB Planning since 2010, and prior to that, worked for seven years in local government. This mix of experience means that Michael understands how decisions are made on both sides of the table, and how to shape proposals that are robust, realistic and well considered.
Michael has worked on structure plans, masterplanned communities, industrial estates, regional strategies, and major infrastructure and renewable energy projects across the Perth, Peel, Greater Bunbury, Goldfields-Esperance, Great Southern, Pilbara, Mid West and Gascoyne regions. His strengths include big-picture strategic thinking, detailed statutory work and bringing people together to resolve issues constructively. Colleagues and clients value his thoughtful approach, clear communication and a focus on best-practice outcomes.
Michael’s planning interests focus on regional development, renewable energy and the transition towards solar/wind/batteries, and technology (such as the Australian Automation & Robotics Precinct and Trackless Tram study).
He hold several qualifications including a Bachelor of Arts (Urban and Regional Planning) (Honours) and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management, and is a member of the Planning Institute of Australia.
