Spoilbank Marina opens: a vision realised

TBB is delighted to celebrate the opening of Spoilbank Marina, a project shaped by our expert urban design and planning team since 2013.

Officially opened on November 29, 2024, by Premier Roger Cook, the $187.5 million marina provides much-needed recreational boating facilities and vibrant spaces for the community and visitors to connect and enjoy the waterfront.

Working alongside Pilbara Development Commission, Town of Port Hedland & Development WA, and other key stakeholders, TBB led the marina’s master planning, ensuring the development balanced recreational, environmental, and economic opportunities. The design integrates the natural coastal environment with functional, community-focused spaces, creating a precinct that serves as a hub for both locals and visitors.

We are proud to have played a role in this transformative project, demonstrating how thoughtful design and collaboration can bring bold visions to life.

This project showcases how great design, and collaboration can transform a community’s connection to its waterfront, benefiting generations to come.
