About James

James enjoys being part of an industry that shapes how people live, move and experience their cities. He loves connecting old places with new possibilities and helping clients create communities that feel memorable, functional and welcoming.

He brings more than a decade of planning and urban design experience, including time at DevelopmentWA working on some of Perth’s most significant regeneration projects. His work on Elizabeth Quay, Subi East, Scarborough and Perth City Link gave him a deep appreciation for how complex planning frameworks translate into real, lasting places. At TBB, James applies the same thoughtful approach, working with clients to deliver high-quality built outcomes that enhance both the look and the feel of a place. His focus is always on solutions that are practical, realistic and improve the everyday experience of the people who use them.

James recently relocated to the South West and is growing his project portfolio across the Bunbury region. He enjoys working closely with local governments and regional clients, bringing both metropolitan experience and local accessibility to every project.

Originally from Albany, James eventually settled in Perth to complete his Bachelor of Arts (Urban and Regional Planning) with Honours. Outside work he spends most of his time with his young family, and whenever the chance presents itself, he is out on the golf course.
